Global Eligibility

Age 18+, sign NDA + Code of Conduct, agree to photo/recording presence.

Comms: Slack/Discord + email; respond within 24h pre-event, 2h on-site.

Training: 1–2 hr virtual module + 60-min on-site briefing.

ID check on arrival; background check for secure/backstage/finance-adjacent roles.

Safety & accessibility: able to stand/walk 4–6 hrs (or request an adapted role).

No cash handling (volunteers assist staff-run POS only).

Event access is off-duty and capacity-controlled; exact access depends on role/shift.

Volunteer Roles

Registration & Badging

Duties:

Check-in, will-call, badge printing, line flow.

Criteria:

Friendly under pressure; basic PC skills; line-management experience a plus.

Extras:

Early badge pickup; 'doors open' photo with ops team.

Info Desk & Wayfinding

Duties:

Answer FAQs, route attendees, manage lost & found.

Criteria:

People skills; memorize floor map quickly; multilingual a plus.

Extras:

Wayfinding pin; first choice on quiet shift blocks.

Accessibility Services

Duties:

Assist ADA routes, seating, sensory space, escort services.

Criteria:

Empathy, clear comms; brief training on accessibility etiquette required.

Extras:

Accessibility advocate badge; reserved rest area.

Queue & Door Ops

Duties:

Manage lines, scan badges, enforce re-entry rules.

Criteria:

Assertive, calm; can stand 4–6 hrs.

Extras:

Priority entry to one non-finals show block off-duty.

Stage Crew

Duties:

Stage resets, mic hand-off, backstage traffic, countdowns.

Criteria:

Follows cues; comfortable on radio; black attire.

Extras:

Backstage tour, stage photo (no talent shots without approval).

Tournament Operations

Duties:

Score table, bracket desk, rules/disputes runner, player escort, practice pods.

Criteria:

Game literate; impartial; comfortable enforcing rules.

Extras:

Practice pod access off-hours (short window), TO lanyard.

Broadcast & Streaming Assist

Duties:

Camera spotters, replay/clip runners, VOD note-taking, comms tables.

Criteria:

Can follow shot lists; quick typing for timestamps; headset etiquette.

Extras:

Control room walkthrough, broadcast credit (if policy allows).

A/V Tech Assist

Duties:

Cable runs, tape/strike, mic batteries, stage changeovers.

Criteria:

Able to lift 25–40 lb safely; obey strike captain.

A/V crew cap; early merch shop access.

IT & Network Helpdesk

Duties:

Assist with LAN drops, VLAN labeling, device check, ticket triage.

Criteria:

Basic networking; follow SOPs; ticket system literacy.

Tech patch; shout-out in postmortem doc.

LAN RAVE & Gameplay Zones

Duties:

Zone safety, headset sanitizing, line management, hardware swaps.

Criteria:

Customer service; light lifting; hygiene SOPs.

After-hours gameplay block (staff-only session).

Safety Desk & First-Aid Liaison(non-medical)

Duties:

Call-outs to med team, incident logging, PPE hand-outs.

Criteria:

Calm, detail-oriented; incident reporting training.

Hospitality (Crew Meals & Water)

Duties:

Meal ticket scanning, restock, crew green room upkeep.

Criteria:

Food-safe handling basics; friendly.

Merch & Retail Assist

Duties:

Restock, sizing help, POS assist (staff runs till), inventory counts.

Criteria:

Retail helpfulness; accuracy; evening availability.

Sponsor & Expo Floor Support

Duties:

Booth move-in wrangling, lead scanners, wayfinding for exhibitors.

Criteria:

Vendor-friendly tone; can read floorplans; COI checklist literacy a plus.

Expo preview hour before doors.

Load-in / Load-out Ops

Duties:

Tape, stanchions, signage, pallet escort, strike pack-down.

Criteria:

Punctual, follows safety; gloves/closed-toe shoes.

Extras:

Double meal credit on load-in/out days.

Volunteer HQ (Check-in, Radios, Scheduling)

Duties:

Crew check-in/out, radio sign-out, shift swaps, incident routing.

Criteria:

Organized, trustworthy; radio and spreadsheet basics.

Extras:

HQ desk pin; first pick of shift swaps.

Creative/Graphics Runners

Duties:

Deliver printed signs, swap decals, check wayfinding accuracy.

Criteria:

Detail-oriented; quick walking; light ladder use (if certified).

Extras:

Collectable SEA signage print souvenir.

Photography & Video Capture Assist

Duties:

Talent wrangling, shot lists, SD card runs, battery swaps.

Criteria:

Knows photo/video basics; release consent SOP.

Extras:

Gallery access post-event (credit subject to policy).

Social Media Admin Volunteers

Duties:

Schedule daily posts, moderate comments, clip shorts from approved assets.

Criteria:

8–12 hrs/week; examples of past brand work; uses scheduler; FTC disclosure on personal posts; 2FA; NDA.

Extras:

Hit weekly KPIs 6 weeks → Weekend GA upgrade + merch pack; best performer → meet-the-casters/photo op.

Community Street Team(pre-event promotion)

Duties:

1 post/week for 8–10 weeks; campus/meetup outreach.

Criteria:

Public accounts; follow content kit; FTC disclosure; photo proof of IRL outreach.

Extras:

Points convert to shift waivers (cap), Street Team patch.

Event Organizers — Workstream Leads

NOW
Duties:

Lead workstreams: Registration/Badging, Volunteer Ops, Stage Mgmt, Tournament Ops, Player Logistics, Sponsor/Vendor Ops, A/V & Streaming, IT/Network, Safety/Accessibility, Merch, Hospitality, Creative/Graphics.

Criteria:

6–10 hrs/week now; shipped event/project; can deliver RACI + timeline + SOP + headcount plan; recruit/train 5–20 volunteers; NDA; background check as needed.

Extras:

Full-event GA, Lead hoodie, back-of-house tour, name on site; micro-stipend possible for critical tracks.

Translation & Language Services

Duties:

Ad-hoc translation at info desk, player desk, or panels.

Criteria:

Strong second language; calm; confidentiality.

Extras:

Language pin; priority seating for one panel.

Transportation & Hotel Liaison

Duties:

Route sheets, shuttle call-outs, hotel check-in coordination.

Criteria:

Local knowledge; phone etiquette; spreadsheet basics.

Extras:

Shuttle wristband; lobby 'ops lounge' access during windows.

Sustainability / Green Team

Duties:

Bin signage, vendor compliance checks, water station ops.

Criteria:

Detail and persistence; gentle enforcement tone.

Green team patch; shout-out in closing ceremony.

VIP & Guest Services

Duties:

Green-room door, escort to stage, schedule reminders.

Criteria:

Discretion; background check; dress code.

Extras:

VIP lounge window off-duty (limited, supervised).

Lost & Found / Recovery

Duties:

Intake log, verification, end-of-day audits.

Criteria:

Accuracy; policy adherence.

Extras:

First choice of seated posts.

Important Notes

• Perks are contingent on event confirmation and capacity; digital acknowledgments and certificates are always delivered.

• Off-duty GA access excludes times/areas you're assigned to work.

• Some extras (e.g., finals seating, VIP/VOD access) are limited and scheduled by the ops team.

• Street Team & Social Admins must use FTC disclosures on personal posts (we'll provide examples).
